WANTED
Job Placement Counselors to go to work for MDC in our Outreach Job Placement Program

Go to work for Modern Deaf Communication. These are salaried positions. You’ll travel. All expenses covered. You’ll work out of your home.

You’ll give Job Placement service and TTY English Lessons to deaf job-seekers. Complete training and equipment provided.

Must have job placement experience and good English skills. Excellent starting salary plus bonuses for performance.

Your job: (1) To help put qualified deaf job-seekers to work in the best jobs they ever had. They’ll be using English face-to-face with their hearing co-workers in jobs superior to the jobs deaf people usually get. You’ll give them the communication equipment they need to accomplish this. And (2) To help improve the English skills of deaf job-seekers with limited skills by giving them English lessons via TTY. (See TTY English Lessons, Main Menu.) Your purpose here is to help these people acquire a sufficiency of English skills so that they may qualify for English-active jobs.

Goal of MDC’s Outreach Job Placement Program: to impact favorably on deaf unemployment-underemployment among qualified deaf job-seekers in the United States.
